On the 10th November 2010, Mr David Hawker published a letter on Tumblr containing false allegations against myself, Webpropaganda Ltd and Miss Taieb. On the same day, I emailed Mr Hawker at Macadamia Media asking the removal of a personal photo of me used on the post as a favicon and "stolen" from the internet - the photo being copyrighted and not for use by others. The letter was subsequently deleted from Tumblr after Miss Taieb's solicitors gave notice to Mr Hawker to do so, failing to it would ensure a lawsuit for libel.
Here is our reply to Mr Hawker - representing Mr Colin Maynard
, Director of Remco-Graffix and Managing Director at Macadamia Media.

Dear Mr Hawker

We refer to your letter posted on the Internet on the 10th November 2011, and that you failed to delete properly on the 12th November 2011, which is a travesty of events and contains numerous false allegations, inaccurate statements and contradictions.

We indeed met for the first time on the 31st October 2011 at the Creditors Meeting of Remco Graffix Ltd at the offices of KSA Business Recovery in Southend. It was a surprise to notice that you were appointed the Chairman as all documents received by KSA previously mentioned Mr Maynard would be the Chairman during the meeting.

I regret not to have been able to meet you, as Colin Maynard suggested in an email to me on the 17/10/2011, to “resolve our differences†as it would have given me an opportunity to judge your character then.

Regarding the claim of Webpropaganda against Remco Graffix (the Former Company), the actual facts of this matter are at complete variance to the position that has been advanced in your letter. We already explained the facts in Webpropaganda’s claim and subsequently in the Reply and Defence to Counterclaim. We found astonishing and very ambitious from you to ascertain that Remco Graffix would have defeated Webpropaganda’s claim and would have succeeded in its counterclaim.

Only a presumptuous person would make such an assertion or someone who pretends to write history because the proceeding will never take place and are effectively concluded by virtue of the liquidation of the Former Company.

To dismiss one of your allegations, I remind you that the Former Company did not enter the Mediation hearing using a pathetic excuse. Had Mr Maynard researched the market to obtain quotations from other SEO companies as you mention in your letter, he would have been informed that our fees were not exorbitant but fair.

Your false allegation that Webpropaganda Lt “failed to provide†their services is ludicrous – the services were provided accordingly and even beyond the SEO services. By reading your various comments on Search Engine optimisation and the work we had to provide, it is obvious you are not competent to talk on this subject.

Mr Maynard never ever complained about the work done by Webpropaganda Ltd. As a matter of fact, in a desperate attempt to save another of his company, Mr Maynard asked us to provide some SEO services for CNC Electrical and we refused.

In a more desperate attempt to have revenue from the Remco Graffix’s website, Mr Maynard put to us by email dated 24th January 2011a proposal (a revenue deal split) that we refused giving him clear reasons for our refusal. Your preposterous insinuation that our Company contributed to the ultime demise of Remco Graffix is unacceptable.

It could indeed be cogently argued that the demise of Remco Graffix is the result of the incompetence of Mr Colin Maynard and the poor management of the Former Company. In September 2010, Mr Maynard informed us that a named Simon Wakefield, a ‘Director’ of the company was “setting up to go solo†and was working against the interests of Remco Graffix.

The facts are that Mr Maynard had serious cash flow problems (as he informed us at several occasions) and never managed to solve them despite his “strengths being in finance, strategic planning and business development†(in his own words from Mr Maynard's Linkedin profile).

It is indeed you who wrote in the Director’s Report on the history of the Former Company provided during the meeting at KSA business Recovery that: “ …due to the downturn in the economy, the further advances in technology and resulting fierce competition from rivals cutting prices […] the company incurred substantial losses.†You also concluded that: “despite attempts to cut costs and market the business, trade failed to increase substantially enough to achieve a profit.â€

You can see now how your pathetic attempt to blame the demise of the former company on anyone else than Mr Maynard failed miserably.

With the above in mind, it is frightening to know that Mr Maynard and yourself are now Directors of Macadamia Media Ltd, Macadamia Creatives and Macadamia Print, the last company trading within the same industry as the Former Company you failed to save from insolvency.

I also note your efforts to present various details about Mr Maynard’s personal and financial circumstances as excuses for his contempt.

I emphatically deny having initiated a ‘Vendetta†against Mr Colin Maynard or yourself and any other individuals involved with the Former Company.

On the contrary, it is a Director of your company who suddenly harassed me when I stated publicly that the Directors of Remco Graffix were also Directors of Macadamia Print - a true and verifiable fact.

(...)

Mr Maynard used his friends to organise his Vendetta. On 10th November 2011, I received a message from a named Dino Forte, accusing me of making comments about Ventrica – his company. Mr Forte subsequently apologised when he realised that Mr Maynard had relayed untrue comments.

As stated above, the campaign of harassment by a Director of Macadamia Media or Macadamia Print, a company of which you and Mr Maynard are also Directors, clearly show your character and prove that indeed you are the ones organising a Vendetta using “self-serving vilificationâ€.

One can only be astonished that you have such a high esteem of yourself and of Mr Maynard. In your own words, how seriously, Mr Maynard and yourself have the effrontery to set yourselves up as critics of the commercial integrity of others frankly beggars belief. You, an ex-solicitor forced into bankruptcy by the Inland Revenue who -allegedly- flouted insolvency laws by failing to declare you went bankrupt, and Mr Maynard who in less than 18 months put the company CNC Electrical supplies in liquidation and Remco Graffix in voluntary insolvency.

I will not comment on the various false allegations you wrote about Miss Taieb as I am certain she will take appropriate steps, at Law, against you, Mr Maynard and Hotelier International.

Mr Maynard is a despicable and deceitful person and my opinion is wholeheartedly shared by some of the creditors of Remco Graffix I met, to whom Mr Maynard lied to for many months. He is the only person responsible for his own disrepute.

With all due respect and as you seem to be “the owl figure†at Macadamia Media, I respectfully suggest you use the substantial expertise gained during your professional legal career, your pragmatism and common sense and advise your colleagues to clean up their acts.

As a SEO practitioner with many years experience in Reputation Management and e-libel and working as such with some of the largest Law firm in England, I will monitor closely that no further false allegations are published neither by you nor by any of your colleagues.

In view of the content of this letter, you will realise that I am neither scared by your threats nor impressed by your fallacious letter.

Yours faithfully,
